# Multi-Account Setup

> Connect and manage multiple MT4/MT5 accounts

## Overview

InnovaTrading supports connecting **multiple trading accounts** simultaneously. This is perfect for:

* Managing **demo and live** accounts side by side
* Tracking accounts across **different brokers**
* Running **multiple strategies** on separate accounts
* Professional traders with **prop firm accounts**

***

## How It Works

Each account needs its own API token:

```mermaid theme={null}
graph TD
    A[InnovaTrading Dashboard] --> B[Token A]
    A --> C[Token B]
    A --> D[Token C]
    B --> E[ICMarkets Live #12345]
    C --> F[Pepperstone Demo #67890]
    D --> G[FTMO Challenge #11111]
```

All accounts appear in your unified dashboard, but data is kept separate.

## Setup Multiple Accounts

  <Step title="Generate Token for First Account">

    Name it descriptively: "ICMarkets Live"
  </Step>

  </Step>

  <Step title="Repeat for Additional Accounts">

  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Each token automatically locks to its account on first use. You cannot reuse a token for a different account.
</Info>

## Dashboard View

Once connected, all accounts appear in your dashboard:

```
## Same Terminal, Multiple EAs
<Warning>
  You can only attach **one EA per chart** in MetaTrader. However, you can:
</Warning>
**Option 1: Multiple Charts**
* Open multiple charts in the same terminal
* Attach a different EA instance to each chart
* Each with a different token
**Option 2: Multiple Terminal Installations**
* Install MT4/MT5 multiple times in different folders
* Run each installation simultaneously
* More reliable for production use
**Recommendation:** For serious multi-account management, use multiple terminal installations or a VPS for each account.
